"God Is Good": Final Comments from Joshua and Ngannou

On March 8th, in Saudi Arabia, a bout will take place between British boxer Anthony Joshua (27-3, 24 KOs) and Cameroonian Francis Ngannou (0-1, 0 KOs). At the weigh-in the day before, Ngannou tipped the scales at 9 kg heavier than his opponent.

The boxers gave their final comments before the fight. Joshua recalled his two defeats to Oleksandr Usyk:

"It seems like there's a different Anthony Joshua after Usyk and now? Well, sometimes, when you're in your head, you pray and miracles happen. That's all I can say. God is good, He's working in my favor.

Ngannou is confident that underdogs can surprise.

"I learned something from the last fight. I gained a bit of experience, but my mindset remains the same. This is only my second boxing match, but I'm fighting against two of the best guys in boxing.

My mindset is the same, I'm the underdog. I'm going to prove that you can be the underdog and do it. I stand by it.

My official prediction: I will leave the ring victorious," said Ngannou.
