The former unified heavyweight world champion, Anthony Joshua, shared his expectations for the upcoming fight against Jermaine Franklin.
The British boxer stated that his focus is on the upcoming fight, and that he has put his loss to Oleksandr Usyk behind him.
"The fight with Whyte demonstrated the kind of fighter Franklin is. It's important not to underestimate my opponent. I have a lot of respect for him, appreciate his skills, and take him very seriously.
As the new year begins, I've put my defeat against Usyk behind me and I'm looking ahead. I respect and value Jermaine Franklin as a good fighter, it would be foolish of me to underestimate any opponent. I'm excited to step back into the ring. I feel a bit different than usual, and we'll see how I adapt to fighting as a title contender," shared Joshua in an interview with Sky Sports News.
We remind you, the fight between Joshua and Franklin is scheduled to take place on April 1st in London.
