The head of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh, posted a video in which former British heavyweight champions (over 90.7 kg) Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) agreed to a fight.
Turki Alalshikh (T): "Do you want this fight?"
Anthony Joshua (J): "Everyone wants this fight."
T: "Tyson, finish the job on December 21. Look who’s waiting for you."
J: "I’m waiting for you."
Tyson Fury (F): "Okay, I’ll do my job."
J: "I’m waiting for you anyway."
F: "I’ll do my job."
J: "Anyway."
T: "He’s waiting for you anyway."
F: "I’ll fight him next anyway. When do you want to do it? What date?"
T: "In the first or second quarter of 2025. AJ is waiting for you. The whole world is waiting for you."
F: "I can’t wait."
J: "My fists can’t wait."
F: "I’ll use mine on your face."
T: "We want to see this fight anyway."
F: "First, I have to deal with Usyk again."
J: "Again? This will be the first time."
Recently, Anthony criticized Tyson's behavior: "I’m glad Fury isn’t the undisputed champion. I just think he’s an idiot. If it were someone else, I might think it’s a disgrace. I’ve always said he’s an idiot, he acts very disrespectfully. I think he feels better when he’s treating other people badly. I’m not competing with anyone. I’m on my own path. But he needs to insult people to feel good, and that’s bad. The way he disrespected Usyk, calling him a rabbit and a middleweight – that’s not good for the sport. If I respect you, and you respect me, we can elevate this sport to a new level. People think we’re both among the elite boxers in the world. But Fury will insult you like a guy who just walked out of a pub, and he’s not on your level. He got beaten – he deserved it. Usyk is a good fighter, that can’t be denied, just give him credit and move on," Joshua said.
Anthony Joshua will face IBF champion Daniel Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs) on September 21. If he wins, he will face the winner of the Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) rematch, scheduled for December 21.
