The head of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh, has confirmed that all tickets for the fight between Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) and IBF champion Daniel Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs) have been sold out.
Promoter Eddie Hearn, speaking at a press conference, affirmed that this marks a record-breaking number of tickets sold.
"This is a record—96,000. I believe this is just what British boxing needs right now, a shot in the arm," said Hearn.
The previous attendance record was set at 94,000 for the Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte bout. For the Joshua vs. Klitschko fight, 90,000 fans were in attendance.
The highly anticipated bout will take place on September 21 at Wembley Stadium in London. More on this megafight can be found here.
