On May 18th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a fight for the title of the undisputed world heavyweight (over 90,7 kg) champion will take place between the holder of the WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO titles, Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs), and WBC champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs).
Former world heavyweight champion and Usyk's former opponent, Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs), shared his prediction for the match.
"Look, I've fought Oleksandr Usyk, so I can only speak from what I experienced in the fight with him. He's a phenomenal fighter, does everything right, and I'd say he will do really well.
I've never fought Tyson Fury, so I can't speak on how he will perform or how he will match up. Therefore, based only on what I know, I have to say that Oleksandr Usyk will win," Joshua told John Jackson from talkSPORT.
Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk have met twice – in both encounters, the Ukrainian celebrated victory: in 2021 by unanimous decision, and in the rematch in 2022 by split decision.
