Joshua and Franklin engaged in a staredown

Anthony Joshua, the former world heavyweight champion, and American boxer Jermaine Franklin engaged in a traditional clash of opinions.

The two will face each other in the ring of London's O2 arena on April 1st. This will be Joshua's first fight since his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in their rematch.

Despite negotiations for a fight against WBC titleholder Tyson Fury, a deal could not be reached. Joshua also explored the possibility of fighting Dillian Whyte.

Franklin, who lost by decision to former WBC "interim" world heavyweight champion White in his previous fight, will be looking to bounce back with a win.
