Josh Taylor Expresses Desire for a Third Fight with Catterall

Former undisputed junior welterweight champion Josh Taylor (19-2, 13 KOs) shared his thoughts on a trilogy fight with Jack Catterall (30-1, 13 KOs).

I think there’s a desire to see a third fight because the second bout was really good, believe it or not. The first fight was a mess, but the second turned out to be a really solid, competitive match.

I believe many people would want to see a third fight, especially since we each have one victory. Let’s have the decisive match and see what happens next. But I don’t know what Jack’s plans are. It seems they’re trying to secure him a world title shot, which he fully deserves,” Taylor said in an interview with BBC 5 Live.

Taylor and Catterall faced off in the ring in February 2022 and again in May 2024. In their first fight, Josh won by judges' decision, while in the rematch, Jack claimed victory by unanimous decision.
