WBO welterweight world champion, Josh Taylor, has revealed his intentions to fight Vasyl Lomachenko. The British boxer stated that he would like to test his abilities in a match against the Ukrainian fighter.
"I would face any of the lightweight leaders. I admire Lomachenko. I've always followed him since our time in the amateurs. We both participated in the Olympic Games, competing in the same weight category. If I had reached the final, I would have met him there, but I was defeated by Domenico Valentino before the medal bouts. I felt robbed and was extremely disappointed, but I've been keeping an eye on Lomachenko ever since," Taylor explained.
"I think he's a phenomenal fighter. I'm truly impressed by his moves and skills. I've learned from him and integrated some of his techniques into my own style. I would be thrilled to share the ring with Lomachenko. He's exceptional and incredibly talented," Taylor said in an interview with the iD Boxing YouTube channel.
It is worth noting that on May 20, Lomachenko is scheduled to fight Devin Haney.
