Joseph Parker on How Daniel Dubuque Will Box Against Him

Interim WBO super heavyweight champion Joseph Parker (35–3, 23 KOs) opened up about how his future opponent, IBF champion Daniel Dubois (22–2, 21 KOs), will approach their matchup in the ring.

"Many people give me chances, but they also say that Dubuque is the favorite. Considering the way Daniel fights, that power he wields, of course I can understand why he’s favored.

I will be too fast for him and bring more experience. I know he will apply pressure, chase me down, and throw heavy bombs. Dubois throws a lot of punches, mixes combinations, and uses sheer force.

If I compare this fight to my bouts against Wilder and Chisora, I know I need to sharpen my boxing skills. Dubois exudes a different energy and resilience—he unleashes flurries of punches. He’ll try to knock me out in the first three to four rounds," Parker explained.

Their encounter is scheduled for February 22 in Saudi Arabia.
