39-year-old British heavyweight boxer Joe Joyce (16–3, 15 KOs) has identified his most likely next opponent and shared his plans for 2025.
According to Joyce, his current front-runner is 40-year-old German fighter Patrick Korte (22–4–1, 18 KOs).
“Right now, my next opponent is Patrick Korte, although I’m not sure because he might back out of the fight. Regardless of who I face, it will be an exciting bout. I always aim to please the fans, and I even trained over Christmas for that reason.
I want to start the year successfully, and there are even more thrilling fights ahead. This is just a step towards more serious challenges and bigger names. My manager and promoter are already working on future plans. There are plenty of options and potential matchups. I’m coming back to winning ways and want to kick off the year on a high note,” Joyce stated.
Joe Joyce last stepped into the ring in July, where he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Derek Chisora—his third defeat in four recent fights.
Joyce is scheduled to fight next on March 1 in Bournemouth, United Kingdom.
