Jermell Charlo Challenges Crawford: “I’d Give Him the Best Fight of Our Era”

Former undisputed world champion Jermell Charlo has spoken about a potential showdown with undisputed Super Middleweight champion Terence Crawford.

“It would be an honor for me to step in the ring against him. A fight with Crawford would be incredible. I’d give him the best fight of our era. I don’t think there’s another fight in boxing right now that makes sense for him.

The best option for him is me. The best fight for Jaron Ennis is me. The best fight for Crawford is also me. I just don’t see anyone else. What do you want to see from me in this sport?” Charlo said.

Jermell Charlo (35-2-1, 19 KOs) has not fought since October 2023, when he lost by unanimous decision to Canelo Alvarez.

On September 13, Terence Crawford (42-0, 31 KOs) defeated Canelo by unanimous decision, becoming the first undisputed world champion in three weight divisions in the four-belt era.
