Jarrett Hurd Announces Retirement

Former unified super welterweight champion Jarrett Hurd (25-4-1, 17 KOs) has officially announced his retirement from professional boxing.

Hurd’s final fight took place on March 1, on the undercard of Gervonta Davis vs. Lamont Roach, where he suffered a split decision loss to Johan Gonzalez.

"I'm a man of my word. This is the last time you’ll see me. I had a great career," Hurd stated.

Hurd once held the WBA, IBF, and IBO titles before losing them in May 2019 to Julian Williams via unanimous decision—his first professional defeat. After that, the American fought six more times but managed only two wins before deciding to hang up the gloves.
