Jarrell Miller to face Michael Hunter – The Ring

American Heavyweight Jarrell Miller will face compatriot Michael Hunter, reports The Ring.

The bout between the two 37-year-olds will headline a September 11 boxing event in Las Vegas, USA, as part of the fight week for the Undisputed Super Middleweight Championship between Saul Alvarez and Terence Crawford, which takes place two days later at Allegiant Stadium and will be broadcast on Netflix.

Miller was initially scheduled to face interim WBA champion Fabio Wardley on June 7 but withdrew from the fight. Later, rising prospect Jared Anderson was named as a possible opponent, but that matchup also fell through.

Jarrell Miller (26-1-2, 22 KOs) last fought in August 2024, battling Andy Ruiz to a draw. He is ranked No. 6 by the WBA.

In December, Michael Hunter (24-1-2, 17 KOs) stopped Cristian Garcia in the fifth round. His only career loss came in April 2017 against Oleksandr Usyk. Hunter is ranked No. 1 by the WBA and No. 7 by the IBF.
