Jarrell Miller: “Anderson pulled out of the fight. We kind of expected it”

The American heavyweight Jarrell Miller has accused compatriot Jared Anderson of pulling out of their planned fight, claiming the organizers are now looking for a replacement opponent.

Let me tell you what’s going on. Jared Anderson has officially pulled out of the fight — though we all kind of expected it. Looks like there are some issues with Top Rank. And last month, they say he was high. So yes, Jared Anderson pulled out. Now they’re looking for another opponent. I won’t lie, I’m really upset right now. But honestly, you could’ve guessed he’d pull something stupid like this,” Miller said.

The bout between Miller (26-1-2, 22 KOs) and Anderson (18-1, 15 KOs) was expected to take place on September 13 as part of the undercard for the Saul Alvarez vs Terence Crawford event.

This is not the first canceled fight for Miller recently — on June 7, he was supposed to face Fabio Wardley for the interim WBA Heavyweight title but withdrew from that fight as well.
