Jaron Ennis Stops Stanionis After Six Rounds

On April 12 in Atlantic City, USA, 27-year-old IBF welterweight champion Jaron Ennis (34-0, 30 KOs) delivered a commanding performance against 30-year-old WBA titleholder Eimantas Stanionis (15-1, 9 KOs), forcing a corner stoppage after six rounds of action.

Stanionis’ team chose not to continue after the sixth round, unable to find answers for Ennis’ overwhelming speed, power, and precision.

With the win, Ennis unifies the IBF and WBA welterweight titles, and also picks up the prestigious The Ring magazine championship, further cementing his status as one of the sport’s most dangerous rising stars.

This was Stanionis’ second bout following a nearly two-year hiatus between 2022 and 2024. In his last outing, Ennis defeated Karen Chukhadzhian via unanimous decision.
