Jaron Ennis: “I Asked for Fights with Ramos and Bohachuk”

American boxer Jaron Ennis shared his thoughts on his upcoming fight against IBO Super Welterweight champion Wisma Lima.

– Were you surprised by the negative reaction after the Lima fight was announced, especially when there was reportedly a list of other opponents Eddie Hearn offered for October 11?

– Yes, I was surprised. This is not the opponent we wanted. I asked for fights with Ramos, Bohachuk, and other guys, but Lima was the only one available. The others were either injured, already had fights scheduled, or were fulfilling mandatory defenses. I’m glad Lima agreed. He’s in the top 10 and is the IBO champion. We’ll get past him and keep moving forward, keep working, Ennis said.

The bout between Jaron Ennis (34-0, 30 KOs) and Wisma Lima (14-1, 10 KOs) will take place on October 11 in Philadelphia, USA.
