According to ESPN, American heavyweight Jared Anderson (16-0, 15 KOs) has been arrested by the police.
The boxer was arrested on Thursday for obstructing official business. Top Rank, the promotional company handling Anderson's affairs, stated that it would not comment on the situation.
This is not Jared's first arrest. In November, he was arrested in Ohio on charges of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and operating a vehicle under the influence.
In December, nearly all charges against him were dropped, except for the improper handling of a firearm in a vehicle. At that time, Anderson was fined $200 and sentenced to 180 days of probation at the Northwest Ohio Correctional Center, provided he does not commit a similar offense within a year.
Jared's next fight is scheduled for April 13th, with the opponent officially confirmed.
