IBF and WBO middleweight champion (up to 72.5 kg) Janibek Alimkhanuly (16-0, 11 KOs) shared his thoughts after his victory over Andrei Mikhaylovich (21-1, 13 KOs).
“Remember, I hadn’t been in the ring for a whole year. This was a good experience for me to come back and shake off the rust. Mikhaylovich is a good boxer, and he has a great team of wonderful people. I wish him the best of luck.
I’m missing two belts. Any of the champions—I’m ready at any moment. Send the contract, and I’ll sign it whenever,” said Alimkhanuly.
The WBC title is held by Carlos Adames (24-1, 18 KOs), and the WBA belt belongs to Erislandy Lara (31-3-3, 19 KOs).
As a reminder, on October 4, Janibek Alimkhanuly defeated Andrei Mikhaylovich by a 9th-round TKO, defending his title.
