Jalolov Declares Readiness for Usyk and Joshua

Two-time Olympic gold medalist Bakhodir Jalolov says he's prepared for the sport’s elite, including reigning unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and former champion Anthony Joshua.

“After a long road, I’m finally ready for a title shot. I want that belt as soon as possible—I’m almost 100% ready for a championship fight.”

Jalolov, who has knocked out every opponent he's faced in the pros, admits that he’s yet to face a top-10 contender but insists the time is near.

“Usyk, Joshua—I'm ready to face those guys. I’ve had similar-level opponents so far, which allowed me to stay relaxed. But I have a powerful punch, and I’m ready to step up.”

He also shared inspiration from Wladimir Klitschko, citing the legend’s ring IQ and defensive style as formative influences.

Jalolov will return to the ring this April 5 in Kazakhstan, facing Ukrainian heavyweight Ihor Shevadzutskyi in what could be a launching pad toward his long-awaited title run.
