American influencer and heavyweight boxer Jake Paul shared his expectations for the upcoming fight against fellow countryman, WBA Lightweight Champion Gervonta Davis.
“He’s been running his mouth for years with this childish nonsense about me needing to fight a real boxer. Well, shorty, congratulations. You got what you wanted.
Tank’s been beating guys my size for years. If everyone thinks size doesn’t matter, I want you to keep that same energy when I fold Tank in half.
I promise this fight isn’t going the distance. Somebody’s going to sleep and be humiliated. The pressure is on you, Gervonta. I’m more ready than ever to pull off one of the biggest upsets in boxing history.
If I win, I’ll have beaten one of the best fighters and done the impossible. If he wins, you’ll get what you want to see, and he’ll send me back to YouTube. But if he loses, that whole image of being this cool, untouchable guy crumbles.
And don’t worry — for everyone accusing me of using steroids as the reason for my wins, we’ve got the strictest USADA testing in place for this fight.
This is the most dangerous fight of my career. This isn’t a blogger, an MMA fighter, or a retired veteran. He’s been boxing since he was five years old, and I’ve only got five years of experience. Two knockout artists. One winner. Somebody’s going to sleep. See you soon, little man,” said Paul.
The fight between Jake Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) and Gervonta Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs) will take place on November 14 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, USA. The event will be streamed live on Netflix. Rules for the bout will be announced later. In his previous fight, Gervonta weighed 60.7 kg (166 cm), while Jake weighed 90.4 kg (185 cm).
