Influencer-turned-Cruiserweight boxer Jake Paul (12-1, 7 KO) reflected on his unanimous-decision victory over Julio César Chávez Jr. (54-7-1, 34 KO) and rattled off the names he’d like to face next.
“He’s a tough guy - never been stopped, a true Mexican warrior. I respect Mexican warriors, I respect Mexico. I’m a warrior, too, and tonight I won.
If I’d listened to anyone in life, I wouldn’t be where I am now. I just went ten rounds with a former world champion who’d never been halted, who’s shared the ring with Canelo Álvarez and other top fighters - and I embarrassed him. Easy work.
I want to be a world champion. Zurdo (Gilberto Ramírez) looked slow tonight—that would be easy, too. Badou Jack, Anthony Joshua. And Tommy Fury—quit running.
Who’s next? We’ll see. We’ll sit down and figure it out. The line is long—grab a damn ticket. I don’t care; I’ve got time. I’m 28. I’ll fight anyone, anywhere, anytime.”
For the record, Paul outpointed Chávez Jr. over ten rounds on the night of 29 June.
