American blogger and boxer Jake Paul (9-1, 6 KOs) announced that his next bout will be against former UFC fighter Mike Perry (0-1). Perry’s only professional boxing match took place in March 2015, where he lost by knockout in the 4th round to Kenneth McNeil (13-5, 10 KOs).
The event is scheduled for July 20 at Amalie Arena in Tampa, USA. Unlike the fight with Mike Tyson, which will be broadcast by Netflix, this event will be shown on DAZN.
After officially confirming the fight, Jake shared his thoughts on the upcoming event.
"1 Mike, 2 Mikes, 3 Mikes, 4 Mikes… The main thing is to make sure every opponent hits the floor. 5 months until Tyson and I go to war. In the meantime, Perry and I are going to make Tampa roar.
I fear no one, never, anywhere, at any place. July 20 will be another victory, so let's pray for the Bare Knuckle champion who will take a knee. Then we'll go to Ireland and take shares from McGregor," Paul wrote on Instagram.
Let's recall, on July 20 in Arlington, Texas, USA, a bout was supposed to take place between Jake Paul and former undisputed champion Mike Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs). The confrontation was officially sanctioned as a professional heavyweight bout (over 200 lbs), and the result of the fight was to be recorded in the athletes' records. However, due to Tyson's ulcer flare-up, the event was postponed.
