“We Have Names in Mind.” Itauma’s Trainer Hints at Briton’s Next Opponent

Ben Davison, trainer of British Heavyweight prospect Moses Itauma, commented on his fighter’s victory over fellow countryman Dillian Whyte.

I foresaw this. It’s incredibly difficult to go the distance with him. I’ve seen in the gym how he destroys opponents, walks them down, and breaks them. Dillian Whyte is a legend of British boxing, but the downside is we’re still trying to find ways to give Moses more rounds.

Working with him is a real pleasure. We have names in mind. But if we mention them, the price immediately goes up — and Frank Warren might not like that,” Davison said.

As a reminder, on August 16, 20-year-old Moses Itauma (13-0, 11 KOs) knocked out 37-year-old Dillian Whyte (31-4, 21 KOs) in the first round. Detailed fight statistics can be found at the provided link.
