The head of the Queensberry Promotions promotional company Frank Warren explained when the next fight for the 20-year-old British prospect Moses Itauma will be decided.
“The fight they've scheduled for him is Pulev. This fight was sanctioned by the WBA. We are waiting. Pulev doesn't want this. He announced another fight that will take place. It seems it will be in Dubai against Gassiev.
But, from what I understand, the WBA did not sanction this fight. So this is all being decided, and we will see where we go and what we decide to do.
We are just trying to figure out what's going on with Pulev. It's still a bit up in the air, and this depends on the sanctioning body. We'll see what happens in the next 24 hours.
But we will announce our show on Saturday at the O2 during the Parker–Wardley card“, Warren said.
For Itauma (13-0, 11 KOs), a fight is scheduled for December 13 in Manchester, and the WBA has ordered him to meet the regular champion in their version, Kubrat Pulev. However, the Bulgarian has announced a meeting with Murat Gassiev on December 12.
