British heavyweight prospect and WBO Inter-Continental and WBA International titleholder Moses Itauma (12-0, 10 KOs) shared his thoughts on his second-round TKO victory over American Mike Balogun (21-2, 16 KOs).
“He’s a tough guy. After the first knockdown, I thought he wasn’t getting up — I was like, ‘What?’ I landed clean, and he was still trying to rise after the second knockdown. I give him credit for that.
I know there were big expectations placed on me, but for him, this was a shot at the big leagues,” said Itauma.
As a reminder, on May 24, Itauma dismantled Balogun in just two rounds, further solidifying his reputation as one of the heavyweight division’s brightest rising stars.
