Isaac Cruz Set for Summer Return

Boxing judge and ESPN KnockOut analyst Fernando Barbosa has shared details on the return of the new WBA super lightweight champion (up to 63.5 kg), Mexican boxer Isaac Cruz (26-2-1, 18 KOs).

"Pitbull Cruz will return in August, and it won't be a fight against Gervonta Davis. This will be his first main event as the 'A-side' under the PBC banner. I like the opponent," Barbosa wrote.

Cruz became the champion in his last fight by defeating Rolando Romero prematurely. This was Isaac's first fight in the new weight category, having previously competed in the lightweight division (up to 61.2 kg).
