Insider: Charr Injured Before Pulev Fight

Sources of the American insider Dan Rafael report that the "regular" WBA heavyweight (over 90,7 kg) champion Mahmoud Charr (34-4, 20 KOs) was injured during training.

Charr tore his left bicep on Monday, will undergo surgery, and the defense of the "regular" championship title in the bout against Kubrat Pulev (30-3, 14 KOs) will be postponed.

The fight between Charr and Pulev was scheduled for March 30th in Sofia, Bulgaria. Mahmoud's last fight took place in 2022 – he won against Nuri Seferi by TKO in the 2nd round.

Kubrat last boxed in December 2023, winning against Andrzei Wawrzyk by unanimous decision.
