Inoue Sets the Stage for Explosive Ring Return

Japan's double undisputed champ, Naoya Inoue, isn't planning to hang up his gloves for long. He's already let slip the month he's eyeing for his next match in the ring:

"I'm aiming to step back into the ring in May. The opponent's still up in the air. We're hammering out the details," Inoue spilled.

BoxingScene's buzz is that Inoue might put his titles on the line against WBC's number one contender, Luis Neri. The guy's stats are no joke – 35 wins, 1 loss, and 27 KOs.

Should this showdown go down, it'll mark Naoi's third rumble in the ring in just ten months.

Last December 26, Inoue snagged the unified champ title for the second time, sending Marlon Tapales to dreamland with a knockout.
