Inoue Plans to Fight Three Times in 2024

Absolute world champion in the super flyweight division (up to 55.2 kg) Naoya Inoue (26-0, 23 KOs) in an interview with RingTV stated that he plans to have three fights this year.

– I'm sure you get asked this a lot, but how long do you plan to fight in the super flyweight division?

– I plan to have three fights this year. I'm confident these three fights will take place in the super flyweight division. My move to featherweight (up to 57.1 kg) will depend on how I feel and how my body feels next year.

– Will you have fights in May, September, and December?

– Yes, likely around those times.

– You've told me before that featherweight is your upper limit in weight. Is that still the case?

– Yes, most likely I will only move up to featherweight.

In his last fight on December 26, 2023, Naoya Inoue defeated Marlon Tapales (37-4, 19-3 KOs) and became the absolute champion in the super flyweight division.
