Japanese two-time undisputed world champion Naoya Inoue has been named the boxer of the year for 2023 by The Ring magazine.
In July of this year, Inoue secured a technical knockout victory against Stephen Fulton, and on December 26, he knocked out Marlon Tapales, becoming the second-ever undisputed world champion in two weight divisions during the era of four belts.
In addition, Inoue made history as the first-ever undisputed champion in the second lightest weight class, which was introduced in 1976.
