"I'll Take What Usyk Did": Ngannou's Coach on Preparation for Joshua

Francis Ngannou's coach, Eric Nicksick, has discussed how he plans to prepare his athlete for the upcoming bout against former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua:

"Joshua is very savvy and controls the ring well. He will stay somewhere in the middle and work with the jab, which he masters very well. I think that's what we should try to exploit, applying counterattacks.

We also need to rely on some things we did in preparation for the fight with Fury. But in that bout, we didn't show everything we have in our arsenal, and this time we'll have the opportunity to do so.

"The only thing that really stuck in my memory in Joshua's career is his fights with Usyk and the southpaw Usyk used to attacked him. I'll take something from what I saw in those fights and adapt it for Francis, adding something of our own," said Nicksick.

The Joshua-Ngannou bout is officially confirmed, but the date has not been announced yet. It's likely to take place on March 8.
