WBO and IBF middleweight champion (up to 72.5 kg) Janibek Alimkhanuly (15-0, 10 KOs) shared an update on his condition after fainting ahead of his bout against Andrey Mikhailovich (21-0, 13 KOs), which led to the fight being canceled.
"Thank you all for your support, I am fine now. I'll recover in a couple of weeks and come back. And very important news – I will continue fighting in the middleweight division. I have unfinished business here!" wrote Janibek.
The Alimkhanuly vs. Mikhailovich fight was scheduled for July 13 in Las Vegas, USA. The bout was to be contested for the IBF and WBO middleweight titles held by Janibek.
