"Take a Walk, Mayweather!" De La Hoya's Blunt Message Hits Hard

Promotion heavyweight Oscar De La Hoya dropped a verbal jab at Floyd Mayweather Jr.:

"Pre-Floyd run, Ryan's eyes were on Haney. Post-Floyd, he's gunning for Rolando Romero. Golden Boy's been in Ryan Garcia's corner since his pro debut, building him into boxing's top dog. The Garcia-Rollie showdown? We're making it epic, as always. Floyd, if you're down to dish out tips for Ryan's ring game, cool. But if you're still playing promoter, beat it," De La Hoya posted on his Instagram.

Following his victory over Oscar Duarte, Ryan was initially eyeing a bout with Devin Haney before shifting focus to Rolando Romero. Garcia also recently hit the pavement for a run alongside Floyd Mayweather.

The 2007 Mayweather-De La Hoya fight saw Floyd clinching the win by judge's decision.
