The International Boxing Federation (IBF) has announced that their heavyweight champion, British boxer Daniel Dubois, is eligible to conduct a voluntary title defense. He must do so by April 22 if he wishes to exercise this right.
Daniel is allowed to select any opponent from the IBF's top 15 rankings. Dubois's previous opponent, Anthony Joshua, is currently ranked 8th.
After this date, Dubois will be obligated to fight a mandatory challenger, who will be determined in a bout between German boxer Agit Kabayel and Congolese fighter Martin Bakole.
