Promoter Confirms: Hrgovic to Face Joyce

Queensberry Promotions chief Frank Warren has confirmed that Joe Joyce (16-3, 15 KOs) will face Filip Hrgovic (17-1, 14 KOs) on April 5 in Manchester, UK.

Hrgovic replaces Dillian Whyte, who suffered a finger injury during training and is unable to compete.

"Yes, Hrgovic will step in for Whyte. This is a tough fight for both men. It’s no easier than the one Joe was originally set to have against Dillian. Every fight Joyce takes is a risky one, but if he wants to get back to his previous level, he has to face truly tough opponents," Warren stated.

This will be Joyce’s first bout since his defeat to Derek Chisora, while Hrgovic returns to the ring for the first time since his loss to Daniel Dubois.
