Hrgović on IBF Title: "I've Been Waiting for My Chance for Three Years"

Mandatory challenger for the IBF title Filip Hrgović (17-0, 14 KOs) has responded to undisputed world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk's (22-0, 14 KOs) request to the International Boxing Federation (IBF) for an exception to the rules to keep the belt.

"I think I should fight for the IBF title. They've had a lot of exceptions. I've been waiting for my chance for three years, and they had a fight for the undisputed champion. I was promised that I would fight for the title, so the fight against Dubois should be for the IBF belt," Hrgović said.

Filip Hrgović will face Daniel Dubois (20-2, 19 KOs) on June 1 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The bout will be part of the 5 vs 5 tournament between promotional companies Matchroom Boxing and Queensberry Promotions.
