Hrgović Names Conditions to Knock Out Dubois

Mandatory challenger for the IBF heavyweight title (over 90.7 kg) Filip Hrgović (17-0, 14 KOs) revealed his hope to knock out his next opponent, Daniel Dubois (20-2, 19 KOs).

The Croatian is confident in his strong chin, while his opponent has been knocked out twice before, by Joe Joyce and Oleksandr Usyk.

"I think I have a psychological advantage from those sparrings, although a fight is a fight, and it was a long time ago. We'll see what happens this Saturday. He has already given up twice, and that says a lot. However, I think he is a serious fighter, and in some fights, especially the last one, he has proven that.

I think he has a problem with taking punches he doesn't like. He doesn't like getting hit, he doesn't like it when punches land on him. He's not very good at handling that. But I've proven that I have a really good chin.

I've never been knocked out – not in more than 100 amateur fights, not in sparring. I think I have the quality to never give up, and I believe that if I press well and throw my best punches at him, I will knock him out," said Hrgović.

Filip Hrgović and Daniel Dubois will meet on June 1 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The fight will be part of the 5 vs 5 tournament between promotional companies Matchroom Boxing and Queensberry Promotions.
