Age Is Just a Number for Lara: Plans to Box On Like Legend Hopkins

WBA middleweight champ Erislandy Lara (29-3-3, 17 KOs), ready to rumble at 72.6 kg, likens himself to boxing legend Bernard Hopkins:

"I'm all geared up to step back into the ring and defend my title, especially with this being the inaugural PBC on Prime Video tourney.

I see myself as the new generation's Bernard Hopkins - ready to box on for many more rounds... years. Zerafa's been eyeing this chance and will come hungry on fight night.

However, he's about to discover what it means to square off with the division's top dog. I'm pumped to be part of this massive night of boxing, brimming with action from the first bell to the last," Lara stated.

Now 40 and still packing a punch, Lara's next bout is set against Michael Zerafa (31-4, 19 KOs) on March 30.
