Hitchins Not Leaving – Says He Wants to Keep Working with Hearn

IBF super lightweight champion Richardson Hitchins has stated that he wants to continue working with Eddie Hearn. Earlier, discussions emerged around his free agent status, and Golden Boy Promotions founder Oscar De La Hoya reportedly made him a contract offer.

– I’m sure you saw how your, let’s say, former promoter reacted when you said you were a free agent. What made you say that? It seemed like your words not only got to Eddie, but even hurt him a bit.

– I don’t want to get too deep into it regarding me and Eddie. Eddie gave me a chance when I needed it the most, the support I needed to now be negotiating with guys like Devin Haney and Teofimo Lopez and start becoming a star in boxing.

Obviously, I want to keep working with Eddie. I love Eddie, I respect him as a person. He’s always treated me like a gentleman. – said Hitchins.

In his most recent fight, Richardson Hitchins dominated George Kambosos with a stoppage victory, landing over 50% of his punches.
