"His Style is Even More Boring Than Mayweather's": Hearn Doesn't Consider Shakur the Best Lightweight

British promoter Eddie Hearn has shared his opinion on who he considers the best lightweight in the world and why he doesn't think it's Shakur Stevenson:

"If you’re looking at wins, then it’s definitely between Devin Haney and Tank. If we talk about ability, they are all incredibly talented.

"I must give credit to Shakur Stevenson as well, but he hasn't beaten anyone yet. I know he defeated Oscar Valdez, but he hasn't had any big wins in the lightweight division yet, but it's not his fault. I believe he will become great, but it's hard to say for sure.

"His style is even more boring than Floyd Mayweather's... Valdez is the only one who has done something special," said Hearn.

Shakur Stevenson's most recent fight took place in the spring of 2023, making his lightweight debut with a technical knockout victory over Japanese fighter Yoshito in the sixth round. On November 16, the American will face Edwin De Los Santos for the vacant WBC lightweight title.
