Joshua vs Ngannou: Hearn Bets Big on AJ's Knockout Power

Eddie Hearn, British promoter and Matchroom boxing's head honcho, recently weighed in on Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua's bouts with Otto Wallin and also dropped his forecast for Joshua's upcoming scrap with Francis Ngannou:

"Anthony Joshua just bounced back against Otto Wallin, the same guy who nearly had Tyson Fury on the ropes with serious injuries - that match was on the brink of being halted. Wallin was close to clinching that win.

Then, AJ steps in and dismantles Wallin. My bet? He'll repeat that performance against Francis Ngannou," declared Hearn.

Rewind to 2019: Tyson Fury duked it out with Vallin, clinching victory via the judges' nod, but not without taking a severe cut. Anthony Joshua, in contrast, swiftly handled Wallin. The fight was cut short after Joshua busted Wallin's nose. This left his corner no choice but to pull the Swede out.

Fury's face-off with Francis Ngannou in 2023 was a nail-biter – Fury emerged victorious with a split decision despite hitting the canvas. Ngannou, making his boxing debut, showed he's no pushover. Next, it's Joshua's turn to tangle with Ngannou, with the rumble likely set for March 8.
