Hearn Says Fight Delay Favors Fury

Eddie Hearn, the head of the promotional company Matchroom Boxing, suggests that the postponement of the fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury could benefit the latter. However, he does not consider him the favorite.

"I think the postponement will help Fury in terms of his physical condition; he currently looks great. Recently, I saw a video of Usyk—he appears to be in excellent shape. My choice is changing. I was on Fury's side, now I'm with Usyk. But I want Tyson to win the fight. I truly believe that a match with AJ [Anthony Joshua] can happen if he wins. This is a 50/50 fight, one of the best fights that can be made in boxing for the undisputed heavyweight title. In four weeks, you will definitely see this clash," Hearn said.

Usyk and Fury will meet on May 18 in Saudi Arabia. The title of the undisputed world heavyweight champion will be on the line.
