Hearn Predicts Record PPV Sales for Joshua-Ngannou Fight

Eddie Hearn, the head of Matchroom Boxing, anticipates that the pay-per-view sales for the bout between Anthony Joshua (27-3, 24 KOs) and Francis Ngannou (0-1, 0 KOs) will yield excellent results.

"I expect Joshua to handle him, but I think Ngannou will be dangerous, and we'll feel relief when it's all over. There will be a million PPV purchases. It's a big fight, and it's a crazy world we live in. How good you are as a fighter depends on how your last fight went. Suddenly, many believe that AJ could be the best heavyweight in the world and could defeat Tyson Fury. One of the issues with selling the Ngannou-Fury fight was that nobody really believed Francis had a chance. Now, people see him in that fight, how he knocked down Fury, almost beat him, and say, 'He could win this match.' So, we have the MMA world, the boxing world, the world of unpredictability, and now we have a lot of believers in Francis Ngannou. I think it's going to be a great night," Hearn said.

The showdown between Joshua and Ngannou is set to take place on March 8 in Saudi Arabia.
