Hearn on Joshua's Victory Over Ngannou

Promoter of the former world heavyweight champion (over 90.7 kg) Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs), Eddie Hearn, expressed his pride following the Briton's emphatic victory over Francis Ngannou (0-2).

"I'm so proud of Anthony because there was a huge amount of pressure on him. Since he won this fight, he'll face the winner of the Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk match. You're looking at the number 1 heavyweight in the world.

Tyson Fury, please win against Usyk because you'll get the greatest fight in the history of the sport. As a fighter, he is an inspiration to the youth.

What I said would happen, happened. He demolished Francis Ngannou. He's a beast, and I can't wait for him to destroy Tyson Fury," said Hearn.

Remember, on March 8th, Anthony Joshua knocked out Francis Ngannou. Already in the first round, Joshua sent his opponent to the canvas with a knockdown. In the second, the Brit finished the confrontation by sending his opponent to a second knockdown, then followed up with a decisive blow.

The fight for the absolute heavyweight championship between WBC champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) and the holder of the WBO, WBA, IBO, and IBF titles Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) is scheduled for May 18th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
