In a comment for the YouTube channel Piers Morgan Uncensored, Eddie Hearn, head of Matchroom Boxing, discussed the potential fight between former champion Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) and WBC heavyweight titleholder Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs).
"Turki Al al-Sheikh is the biggest fight fan I've ever met.
All he wants is to see big fights. Each boxer could receive over 100 million pounds sterling. The Rumble in the Jungle or the Thrilla in Manila is nothing compared to Joshua vs. Fury. The two biggest heavyweights in the history of the sport," Hearn stated.
On March 8th, Anthony Joshua knocked out Francis Ngannou (0-2) in the second round. Anthony is now called the main contender for a fight against the winner of the Hrgovic vs. Dubois pair, which could take place on June 1st.
Tyson Fury's next match is scheduled for May 18th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the undisputed heavyweight world championship against the holder of the WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO titles, Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs).
