Eddie Hearn, head of Matchroom Boxing and promoter of former champion Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs), commented on a possible matchup between his client and WBC champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs).
– Tyson Fury said he would fight Usyk twice and then face Joshua. We know that situations can change when it comes to these fights in Saudi Arabia.
– Anything is possible. We know they have a two-fight agreement. We expect them to go ahead. Anything can happen in life. Let's see if Fury can get the job done on May 18th.
– Can he do it?
– I'm not too sure, but I hope so.
The fight for the absolute world heavyweight title between Tyson Fury and the holder of the WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO titles, Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs), is scheduled for May 18th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. On March 8th, Anthony Joshua knocked out Francis Ngannou (0-2) in the second round.
