Hearn: "When You Reach Canelo's Age, the Body Can Break Down"

On May 4th in Las Vegas, USA, Mexican super middleweight (up to 76,2 kg) absolute champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs) will defend his title against compatriot Jaime Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs).

Eddie Hearn, head of Matchroom Boxing, commented on the upcoming match, highlighting age as a potential major issue for Canelo.

"I think it's a very tough fight. I spoke with Canelo last night, and he really likes this matchup. He said the preparation has gone fantastically well.

Munguia will be active throughout the fight. For the first time in many years, Canelo will face a young undefeated fighter.

I think if the fight goes long, it will be interesting. When you reach Canelo’s age, the body can break down, but he's a brilliant fighter and very confident in himself. I expect him to win by knockout," said Hearn.
