Eddie Hearn: “Joshua Really Did Spend Some Time in Usyk’s Camp”

Eddie Hearn, head of Matchroom Boxing and promoter of 36-year-old former Heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua, has confirmed that his fighter trained in the camp of the undisputed Heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.

“I think any official statements will come directly from AJ. Over the years, I’ve learned that speaking on his behalf about things like this is not entirely correct for all sides.

I don’t think anything is final right now. AJ has always visited different camps, constantly developing, learning, listening to others. You know, he really did spend some time in Usyk’s camp. I don’t think that’s a secret.

But officially, he will say everything himself, and without a doubt, he will do it at the right moment,” Hearn said.

Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) and Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) met twice in the ring — Oleksandr won both fights by judges’ decisions.
