Hearn Reveals Possible Disqualification for Garcia

Promoter and head of Matchroom Boxing Eddie Hearn commented on the doping scandal involving Ryan Garcia (25-1, 20 KOs) and speculated on how long the boxer might be suspended from professional activities.

"The suspension could be 6 months, maybe a year. If they prove he did it intentionally, it could be 2 or 3 years. But I think it will be between six months and a year," said Hearn.

On April 20, Ryan Garcia defeated WBC junior welterweight champion (up to 63.5 kg) Devin Haney (31-1, 15 KOs). Later, it became known that Garcia failed doping tests, which revealed the presence of the banned substance Ostarine in his system. Sample B also confirmed the presence of the prohibited substance.
