Haye on Joshua vs. Fury: "My Money Is on AJ"

In an interview with Seconds Out, former champion David Haye commented on Anthony Joshua's (28-3, 25 KOs) victory over Francis Ngannou (0-2, 0 KOs).

I was worried [about Joshua]. Knowing how Tyson Fury has performed in recent years and how he struggled [against Ngannou]. But this is how you deal with an MMA fighter.

Did AJ just make a statement towards Fury? They had 2 common opponents, and Joshua looked much better against both.

My money is on AJ. Anthony’s corner includes Ben Davison. He's returning with punches now, something he didn’t do before. He used to punch as if hitting a bag on the wall. Now, he’s using his whole body, all the biomechanics he possesses. He's an excellent athlete, and now he’s putting all of that into his punches.

On March 8 in Saudi Arabia, the bout between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou took place. In the first round, Joshua sent his opponent to the canvas. In the second, the Brit finished the confrontation by sending his opponent to a second knockdown, then finishing him off with a single punch.
